Release date
Steam’s store date is August 7, 2025. PlayStation, Xbox, and Wikipedia use August 8, 2025. SteamDB notes August 7, 2025 at 16:00 UTC. There is not one global unlock minute I can print for every storefront.

What I checked
I confirmed the Steam date again through the appdetails API while writing this site: the release_date field says Aug 7, 2025. I did not re-scrape a minute-by-minute console unlock, so I am not inventing a midnight local time for PS5. The DLC date is cleaner. Steam app 4492700 says Aug 14, 2026, and the 2K newsroom post is the same day.
Dates worth keeping
Deluxe and Omertà discounts had their own end dates in August 2026. Those were prices, not release dates.
