Critic scores and player ratings use different scales and samples. Metacritic lists a 73 critic score; the October 23 English Steam summary is Mostly Positive at 70 percent.

What I checked
The October 23 Steam page shows 70 percent positive from 9,683 English reviews. The DLC page separately shows Mixed, 58 percent of 553 reviews. These are storefront-filtered samples, not the all-language/all-purchase API totals used in the earlier research log. Metacritic's fetched page shows 73 from 81 critic reviews; IGN's review is 8/10. No new score or hands-on review is claimed here.
The numbers
The pattern in the writeups I read is praise for the place and the performances, and complaints about how linear the missions are. IGN’s review says that directly. If you want a sandbox, the score will not fix that. If you want a 10–12 hour crime story, the score is less important than the chapter list.
