Two different Definitive Editions
The 2020 game is a remake of Mafia (2002), set in the 1930s. The Old Country Definitive Edition is the 2025 Sicily game plus Man of Honor. Same words, different boxes.

What I checked
I split them because the search “definitive edition” is how people buy the wrong one. The 2020 remake’s Metacritic conversation is about that remake, not about Enzo. OpenCritic figures cited for the remake in the series notes are not the 73 on The Old Country’s page. Do not average them.
How to tell the store pages apart
Look at the year in the title and the city. Lost Heaven and the 1930s mean the remake. San Celeste and 1904 mean The Old Country. If the page mentions Man of Honor, it is the 2026 bundle of the new game.
| Product | Setting | What you are buying |
|---|---|---|
| Mafia: Definitive Edition | 1930s Lost Heaven | 2020 remake of the first game |
| The Old Country | Sicily, 1904–1907 | 2025 game |
| The Old Country Definitive Edition | Sicily, plus 1905 DLC | 2026 bundle |

FAQ
Which one is on PS5 at 60 fps from the 2026 news?
The 2K newsroom note about the Omertà Collection mentions the 2020 remake’s 60 fps update on PS5 and Series X|S. That patch is for the remake, not a graphics mode I am assigning to The Old Country.
Can I use the scores interchangeably?
No. Quote the game you mean.
