Mafia 5 is unconfirmed
Unconfirmed. 2K has not announced a Mafia 5, an Old Country 2, or a dated follow-up. Anything with a year attached is a rumor until a 2K post exists.

What I checked
I read the coverage that says there is no official word, including the TheGamer piece in the source log, which says that outright and then discusses fan-channel speculation and a possible Mafia II remake. Speculation is not a release window. I am not picking a year. The last thing that did ship is Man of Honor on August 14, 2026, which is DLC, not a new numbered game.
What would count as news
A post on mafia.2k.com or the Steam news feed for app 1941540. Until one of those exists, this page stays on “not announced.” I checked the patch list through September 1, 2026, and none of those notes is a sequel announcement.
