What I checked
I am not ranking a “best mod” I did not install. The names that came up in the source log for performance were community shader and FSR tweaks, including one labeled Optimax and still marked beta. Treat a beta shader mod as a beta. Read the mod page’s game-version note, because a file made before Man of Honor may not match a September 2026 install.
Before you drop files in
Back up the SaveGames folder first. The game has one autosave. A mod that breaks a load has nothing else to fall back on.
Denuvo does not by itself forbid cosmetic mods, and it also does not make a random DLL safe. Stay on Nexus pages you can read, and do not follow a “fps mod” video into a file locker.

Do mods break trophies?
I have no official rule to quote. Assume online leaderboards are irrelevant, because this is a single-player game, and assume a script hook can still corrupt a save.
