Performance and stutter
The game is Unreal Engine 5 on DirectX 12. The first launch compiles shaders. That hitch is not the same problem as a GPU that cannot run the minimum spec.

What I checked
The official patch archive separates two updates: November 20, 2025 addressed FSR 4 ghosting and DLSS/DLAA instability; August 14, 2026 updated DLSS to 4.5, FSR to 4.0.3, and XeSS to 3.05. The newest dated archive entry checked October 23 is September 1, 2026. No benchmark was measured for this page.
What to change before you install a mod
Update the GPU driver. Confirm the card supports DirectX 12. There is no documented DirectX 11 fallback in the sources I have, so forcing DX11 is a guess, not a fix I tested. I am marking that path as untested.
PCGamingWiki lists a frame cap at 30, 40, 60, 90, 120, and 144, no exclusive fullscreen, and DLSS, FSR, and XeSS plus frame generation. Frame generation that stays on during cutscenes has been blamed for judder. Turn it off if cutscenes stutter and gameplay does not.
Nexus hosts community mods such as shader and FSR tweaks. I link the site. I do not host the files.
DirectX 12 error steps beyond “use a DX12 card and a current driver” were not reproduced on a test machine for this page.

FAQ
Why does the first launch stutter?
Shader compilation. Let it finish before you judge the frame rate.
Will a mod guarantee 60 fps?
No. I will not publish that promise.
