What I checked
I pulled the combat notes from Game8’s beginner and whetstone pages, then corrected the Photo Mode line against the November 20, 2025 patch. Game8’s August 2025 page says Photo Mode does not exist. That sentence is stale. The patch added Photo Mode, Classic difficulty, and first-person driving. The antique-camera photographs for collectibles are a different system.
Systems worth learning early
Cover, headshots, and Instinct (D-pad up, or V on PC) are the combat loop. Lamps explode. Stealth has a backstab. Knife sharpness is spent on locks, stealth kills, throws, and executions, and you get one whetstone per mission.
Camera settings on PC include FOV from 50 to 120, default 82, plus shake and vehicle camera distance, per PCGamingWiki. Chapter replay unlocks from the main menu after the prologue in one Game8 article and after chapter 2 in another. I use the prologue wording and keep the conflict visible.

How do I restart a checkpoint?
Use the in-game restart. You cannot roll back a manual save, because there isn’t one.
Is there Photo Mode?
Yes, since the November 20, 2025 update. Older guides that say no are out of date.
